Do you think the old age home is a dull, bored place?
In my opinion no! To make sure, let's sharpen our five senses: nothing is missing around us.
Through my window gets a distant view of the nature! The splendors of the sunrise, its gentle caress as it rises on the horizon...
On sunny days, it is our dear mountains that capture our gaze: some, distant, make us to dream; others close and familiar with less abrupt forms. Beautiful hills close the horizon beyond Bayonne, whose cathedral emerges and seems so close to us.
The liveliest environment, it seems to me, is below our windows: the earth, rich in cultures thanks to the work of man; the birds gently awaken us and make their antics before our eyes; a sudden flight of pigeons hits the ground causing crows to flee... but the best of the circus is the acrobatics of magpies and other small birds balancing on the tips of the finest branches.
How can we ignore their games? The spectacle is different on stormy days: other than the sound of roaring of the furious ocean, we have the visit of sea birds fleeing from the wrath of their environment: Immaculate egrets, pretty seagulls take refuge and feed on these lands populated by tasty worms and insects. Ah! And awesome! They appear from time to time, suspicious but so elegant when they cross the field in a few leaps, because they have several residences in the field!
The walking in the surroundings is not less rich: the pines offer squirrels a treat and a playground; other trees delight us with each change of season; the hedges have generous in sweet and greedy blackberries; the embankments offer us the flowers...
Our contemplation leads us straight to our founder, who bequeathed us such a heritage and offers us the joy of admiring them!
