BETWEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH

Notre Dame du Refuge, Mother House of our Congregation 

Heaven of Peace, of rest 

    where those who arrive can breathe deep within themselves,

    where whoever arrives can perceive humanity, warmth, understanding, harmony,

    and feeling that something is alive in it.

Shelter for those who pass

    where one regains the strength to live,

    where the meeting with friends takes place,

    brothers and sisters around the table,

    where we let ourselves be guided by the Spirit,

    where one feels welcomed, awaited, loved.

This is how, in recent months, we have lived with joy the arrival of our sisters

from Ivory Coast and other communities, for a time of vacation, or health needs;

an occasion to feel like a family.

Joy, also, for having welcomed our Sisters of Compassion for two weeks; met M. Santini,

delegate of Tutelle for the three Congregations; two good Alliance meetings! And other visitors…

Home that makes room for all humanity

    for the poor of our world:

    for the children and young people wounded by life, injustice, vexation,

    for the women in distress, disabled people.

House where Mother Mary is always present

    place of prayer, source of life and joy,

    where she welcomes her Servants who celebrate her,

    convivial time and sharing with our elderly sisters.

Home which welcomes our vulnerability

    which elevate our humble services,

    which blesses our littleness.

Our Lady of the Refuge

    soothing site, with abundant nature,

    nourishing earth, the fruit of effort and work,

    green landscape of pines born 

    of courage, constancy and faith.

A heritage to be preserved, protected with love

    with the collaboration of volunteers,

    the love and courage of the workers.
